*UNIOSUN: 2024/2025 Admission Exercise Begins As Notice of Post-Utme Screening Issues Out – Details*

Notice is hereby given that the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening exercise will be held for candidates who chose Osun State University as their first choice or those willing to change their institution and make UNIOSUN their first choice, provided they have a minimum score of 160 marks. However, candidates who scored less than 200 marks will not be considered for admission into any of the following programmes: Nursing, Medicine, Law, and Common and Islamic Law.

Candidates who chose any of the above-mentioned courses but scored less than the prescribed marks may change to any other relevant programme of their choice.

In line with the extant national policy, any candidate who will be less than sixteen (16) years of age as of 31st December, 2024, need not apply.

COMPLETION OF APPLICATION FORMS

Candidates are to register online by accessing the University website: https://www.uniosun.edu.ng or https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng to complete and submit an application. They are expected to print two (2) copies of the application form after submission.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

Direct Entry candidates should complete the form online by accessing the University website: https://www.uniosun.edu.ng or https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng, submit an application, and ensure that they read the admission requirements of the university before applying to any of its programmes. They are also expected to forward their Academic Transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University no later than Friday, 4th October, 2024.

All Direct Entry candidates, including those in the UNIOSUN (IJMB, JUPEB) Programme, who wish to be considered for admission for the 2024/2025 academic session must have obtained the Direct Entry Form from JAMB. They must also apply for the screening exercise.

ELIGIBILITY

UNIOSUN will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) Credit Passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, except for Medicine, Nursing, and Law, where candidates are expected to have at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO in the relevant subjects at one sitting. The University may accept a minimum of Lower Credit for Direct Entry candidates.

Candidates should meticulously provide their details on the University Portal. Any candidate who supplies false information will be prosecuted by law enforcement agencies, and the admission of such a candidate will be withdrawn once discovered. Any fee paid by a candidate who falsifies records/documents will NOT be refunded. Candidates awaiting results should supply them within one week of release. Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.

CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING SYSTEM (CAPS)

The 2024/2025 Admission Exercise will be based on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), a system designed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to automate the admissions process to tertiary institutions. All candidates are advised to upload their O’ Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a pre-condition for admission.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

All candidates who eventually get admitted will undergo a mandatory medical examination, which includes screening for drug use.

ACCESS TO THE REGISTRATION PORTAL

Visit the UNIOSUN Post UTME Portal via https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng. This will take you to the online Application Platform. Ensure you read all registration guidelines and instructions carefully before proceeding to register.

Payments of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) only as Portal Access Fee and Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only for the Post-UTME Screening is through the Remita Web PAY Platform using your ATM Cards (MasterCard, Verve Card, and REMITA-enabled Cards).

CLOSING DATE:Submission of forms closes at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, 13th October, 2024.
