POS Operator Shot Dead In Ogun – Details.
Gunmen operating with motorcycle have reportedly killed one Mutiu Salako, an operator of Point of Sale, POS, at Oke Lantoro in Abeokuta Ogun State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at 6 pm on Sunday.
A WhatsApp message went viral on social media, alerting members of the public to the incident attributed the attack to a cult-related killing.
However, the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Monday as a case of attempted robbery.
Odutola disclosed that the police, during the raid of the area where the crime was committed, had equally arrested three suspects.
She said: “According to the report with me, it was the police operatives from Kemta Division that attended to the attack. Two gunmen on a motorcycle shot Mutiu Salako, a PoS operator who later died in the hospital”.
“It was not a case of cult killing, as is being speculated, but attempted murder and three suspects have been arrested after the police raid of the area.”
