The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of former Senate President Bukola Saraki has yet again suffered another huge and disastrous blow as several of its stalwarts in Kwara North defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
They announced their defection on Friday, few days to the general election, in Kosubosu, Baruten LGA.
Kwara North is where the gubernatorial candidate of the opposition PDP, Yaman Abdullahi, hails from, but he has not received backing from major stakeholders of the region, including traditional rulers who have pitched their tent with and endorsed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
PDP in Kwara State has lost many of its stalwarts to the APC in recent times across the three senatorial districts, thereby sending shock and disbelief in the camp of the Sarakis.
The defectors in Kosubosu were formally received into APC by Gure /Gwasoro Ward APC Youth Leader alongside some party loyalists.
They promised to strive all their efforts in delivering Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq and all other APC candidates in the state.
