*Pastor murdered in Osun church*
A Pastor in Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, in Osun State, Moris Fadehan, has been reportedly murdered by one of his assistants, Lekan Ogundipe
It was reported that the suspect himself drew the attention of neighbors to partly burnt body of the Pastor inside the church building on Monday.
The source revealed that Lekan Ogundipe, after perpetrated the evil act, ran to the resident of founder of the church, whose name could not be confirmed till now, and told him that fire was burning the Pastor inside the church.
Up upon arriving at the scene, the founder and people around the church eventually observed that there was blood stained on the cloth of the suspect.
It was also gathered from eyewitnesses that the same man called the attention of police officers, who immediately deployed its operatives to the scene, and subsequently arrested the suspect after clear evidence was noticed.
But a source close to the deceased, who preferred to be anonymous for security reason, said Fadehan had retrieved keys to the church from the suspect, after he assaulted a prophetess, following undisclosed differences just last week Wednesday.
He said, “Assault on the prophetess occurred last week Wednesday. The prophetess was in the church and Lekan (Ogundipe) came around and met her. They had a disagreement. Lekan eventually assaulted the woman. He bit her and that got the shepherd angry.
“ As a result of that, the pastor retrieved church keys from the suspect. In addition, there was a crisis in the church this last Sunday that almost disrupted the church service. Lekan’s matter was also part of the issues that caused the brouhaha
“It was gathered that on Monday, when the pastor arrived at the church for personal spiritual service, he kneeled and started praying at the feet of the altar when someone pounced on him and attempted to cover his face with clothes which eventually led to a tussle. Pastor struggled to push the attacker away and in the process, he got to know it was Lekan that attacked him.
“While that was on, Lekan reportedly picked up a screwdriver and hit it against the pastor on the face, killing him on the spot. In an attempt to cover his sadly track, he dragged the body towards the generator, poured petrol on him and set him ablaze. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t cover his track well.
“Apart from observed blood stains on Ogundipe’s dress, series of mark of violence was also noticed around the suspect’s neck region.
The founder of the church and neighbors tricked the suspect and kept him in a vehicle until police operatives arrived, and handed him over to them.
The suspect was arrested at the scene of the crime. Remains of the deceased were deposited at the OAUTHC morgue for autopsy.”
