As Muslim faithful mark Eid-El-Kabir celebration, the leadership of Osun State Chapter of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), has sent message of felicitation to all faithful, urging them to exhibit the virtues and lessons of the day at all times.
In a message signed by the association’s Publicity Secretary, Mukhtar Ajelogbon in Osogbo on Sunday called for true love for one another, peaceful coexistence and care for the less privileged, saying these are virtues which people must imbibe during and even beyond the Sallah celebrations.
“On behalf of our members, the leadership of FIBAN in Osun State congratulate Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, it is expected that the Muslim Ummah will use the period of the celebration to offer special prayers for Allah’s blessings, wisdom and guidance for our leaders.”
Osun FIBAN also reminded Muslims that the essence of the celebration of the Eid-El-Kabir is not about sacrificing animals but about selfless sacrifice, perseverance, and hope for peaceful coexistence.
“Therefore, selfless sacrifice and communal love as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismael, should guide everyone, as we submit ourselves and needs to the Will of Allah,” the statement added.
The message also wished all the Muslim faithful Allah’s abundant blessings and prayed for peaceful celebration and manifest peace across Nigeria.
