The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has requested for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Sunday Igboho, one of the prominent personality in the South West Nigeria, sequel to his recent inflammatory statements demanding the expulsion of Fulani cattle breeders from Yoruba land.
According to MACBAN’s national president, Baba Othman Ngelzarman in a press release, the association described Igboho’s outburst as unlawful and akin to treason, as he advocated for the realization of Oduduwa nation.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant security agencies are now urged to take immediate action against Sunday Igboho, referring to antecedent laid by the Government on the case of Nnamdi Kanu for a similar offence.
Baba Othman Ngelzarman said:
“We call on the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and concerned security agencies to arrest and prosecute Sunday Igboho for making this unlawful statement that amounts to treason because he is calling for the realization of Oduduwa nation.
“He asserted further that If Nnamdi Kanu can be arrested and detained for a similar offence, then there is no justification for Sunday Igboho to be allowed to go scot-free
