The Kwara State Ministry of Environment continues it’s usual tour round the metropolitan city of Ilorin, the state capital in a bid to maintain and sustain the clean nature of the state.
This is based on the mandate handed down by the governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to ensure a dirt free society.
The Commissioner for the ministry, Hon. Remilekun Banigbe had ordered the State Government Waste Management Special Intervention Truck to team up with the commercial contractors for a speedy job.
These trucks were seen moving from one streets to the other with their loaders evacuating all refuse dumped on the road medians and road sides while offloading the already filled-up roro bins and galvanized bins as monitored by the Principal Administrative Officer, Mr. Moshood Ologele.
The Commissioner therefore charged the residents to always endeavor to make use of the bins government have provided at strategy locations and stop dumping indiscriminately.
