Kwara State Government has declared war against poor sanitation across the Ilorin metropolis on Tuesday.
The declearationion was made during a public sensitization in Ilorin led by government officials where they expressed worries over the indiscriminate dump of refuse and illegal erection of kiosks illegally on government setbacks.
The exercise, which was a joint task force led by Commissioner for Environment, Mrs. Oluwatobi Remilekun Banigbe; Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Rotimi Ilyas; Commissioner for Enterprise, Hajia Arinola Lawal; KWARMA Chairman Hon Bolakale Rufai Oloje; GM KWARTMA, and Chairman Environmental Task Force Committee, Hon Razaq Jiddah among others at Gaa Akanbi Area, Ilorin for inspection and sensitization.
The team compelled people to clean their surroundings and ordered immediate removal of any structure erected over public drainages.
