Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) has applauded Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his performance in delivering dividends of democracy to the remotest corners of the state.
The Body made the statement during a meeting on Tuesday with the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rafiu Ajakaye in the Government House, Ilorin.
Speaking on behalf of the Body, Ag. Chairman Mrs Ramat Lawal said AbdulRazaq has done excellently well in making Kwara a land of possibilities for all classes of citizens and professional bodies in less than four years, a feat she said should earn him reelection in the forthcoming polls.
“Our members salute the Governor for his open-door policy and outstanding leadership in the state. We acknowledge his strides in welfare, education, health and other sectors as well as other projects in the state,” Mrs Ramat said.
“FIBAN is proud to identify with him and will work assiduously with other stakeholders to ensure that he is re-elected for continuous growth and progress of the state.”
Other members at the meeting included veteran broadcasters Alhaji Bola Olojoku, Alhaji Rasheed Yekeen, Mallam Shola Seriki, Prophet Taiwo Akinmoladun, Mallam Bolaji Galadima, and Kola Olatunji.
Ajakaye, for his part, acknowledged the contributions of FIBAN in information dissemination and peaceful coexistence in the society, promising to deepen the existing relationship and partnership with them in the interest of the people and state.
“I also assure FIBAN, other professional bodies and the entire people of Kwara State of the commitment of the Governor to continue to prioritise the welfare of the people of the state,” Ajakaye added.
