International Youth Day: Kwara empowers 100 young entrepreneurs
Kwara state on Friday celebrated the International Youth Day in style as the state government empowers 100 young entrepreneurs with one million naira each, in an event tagged Kwarapreneur 2.0 in Ilorin, THE NEWS KINGDOM reported.
The event which was held at Banquet Hall, GRA, Ilorin was a continuation of the Kwarapreneur 1.0 powered by the office of the Kwara State Social Investment Programmes, KWASSIP, headed by Qawiyyu Olododo.
While delivering his address, Executive Governor of the state, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak explained that the data given by the United Nation confirmed that Africa has the largest youth population and it becomes imperative for the government to put in place ideals that can bring out the best in the youths.
The Governor added that his administration knows what the youth can do if given the right platforms to thrive and the Kwarapreneur is one of its numerous avenues to unlock potential and support young entrepreneurs.
The event was attended by top government functionaries, politicians within and outside Kwara, the 100 youths beneficiaries and supporters of the party.
