Kwara College of Nursing: “Abdulrahman Capital Investment attributed Goodwill to the institution” – Ex Provost

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State Capital Investment on the State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ilorin attracted goodwill to the institution

Immediate Past Provost of the College, Alhaji Imam Abubakar-Ayinla stated this while partaking on the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Radio Kwara Chapel in-house Media Parley tagged “Viewpoint” held at the Newsroom of the Station

Alhaji Abubakar-Ayinla said, Governor Abdulrazaq on assumption of office in Twenty-Nineteen personally paid unscheduled visit the institution to harvest first-hand information towards addressing the challenges of the institution

He pointed out that the Governor was adequately briefed as all requests to fast-track repositioning of the institution were approved as contained in the memo in a memorandum submitted to the Governor

The Guest narrated that the institution established in Nineteen Seventy-Three was stagnated with little or no attention until Governor Abdulrazaq breath new life to the nearly comatose the institution on assumption of office

The Former Provost maintained that part of money approved and released by Governor Abdulrazaq was channeled for construction of Computer-Based Test, CBT Centre put to use for Virtual Examination during the peak period of COVID 19 global pandemic

Alhaji Abubakar-Ayinla also explained that the Governor also released funds for accreditation of some courses by National Board for Technical Education and other teaching aids in the State College of Nursing

The Nursing Expert maintained that Governor’s intervention to the school promted affiliation of the State College of Nursing and Midwifery to Ladoke Akintola University to further expose students to rudiments of Nursing and Midwifery in the Country.
