Hardship: Protesters Stage Landmark Demonstration At Wike’s House In Rivers – Details.
It was reliable confirmed that the EndBadGovernance Protesters on Tuesday, in Rivers State, staged a large demonstration at the Port Harcourt residence of Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of the state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Sequel to a video going viral online, the protesters were easily seeing chanting and carrying placards with various inscriptions.
However, most of the hunger protesters were seen sitting on the paved road in front of Wike’s mansion, which was heavily guarded by uniformed police officers.
It should be recalled that the FCT Minister, who has earlier publicly opposed the nationwide protests, also tried to prevent the demonstration in the capital.
While given speech during a ministerial engagement with FCT youths from Abuja South Federal Constituency, in Kwali Area Council of the FCT on Monday, July 29, Wike said, ”Youths and other stakeholders in Bwari and Gwagwalada Area Councils will also be engaged on the same issue in the coming days.”
