She Fled To Avoid Husband’s Fury After Having A Miscarriage
Information reaching the newskingdom from Ogun State Police Command has revealed that Rahemat Lateef, the pregnant woman who was due for delivery but reportedly kidnapped while on her way to the State General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta has been found.
According to the report, Rahemat, who was believed to have been kidnapped, was never abducted, rather, she stage-managed the occurrence by wing her way to Kwara State to avoid her husband’s fury after having a miscarriage.
It was further gathered that Rahemat was frustrated due to repeated miscarriages and subsequently resulted to fabrication of kidnapping script.
Meanwhile, Rahemat’s husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef reportedly received a WhatsApp message notifying him of his wife’s abduction by unknown persons.
While providing an update on the incident on Monday, Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said Rahemat was found in Kwara State with her father.
Odutola disclosed that the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit had begun tracking her until she reappeared.
Odutola said, “Rahemat Lateef, who was reported abducted by her husband, was never kidnapped. Instead, she planned her journey to Kwara State to escape her husband’s wrath, following repeated miscarriages”.
“She fabricated the story herself, travelled to Kwara State, and was far from being kidnapped”.
“After experiencing a miscarriage and becoming frustrated due to its repeated occurrence, she feared her husband’s reaction and orchestrated the narrative”.
“The Anti-Kidnapping Team had begun tracking her until she reappeared”.
“She is now under medical attention and is safe,” she added.
