• Invites general public, event free of charge
The Kwara State Government has announced plan to organise a family funfair for residents of the state to mark the end of the year 2022.
The announcement was made in a statement by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Eyiwumi Muka Ray, who noted that the program would be fun-filled and social.
It was gathered that the event will feature music, dance competition, games and other attractions. Scheduled to hold at the Kwara State Amusement Park, the funfair is free with gift items lined up for grabs.
According to him, the event is tagged “Kwara End of the Year Family Funfair” and was designed to celebrate the end of the year in Kwara State by providing an avenue for people of all ages to reflect on their journeys so far since the beginning of the year whilst looking forward to a more fruitful year ahead of them.
“This event is projected towards creating a unique and lifetime experience for our people, both children and adults, in Kwara State, as it aims to capture all categories of people irrespective of age, tribe, religion and/or social status.
“It is part of our efforts, as a responsible government, to enhance the social well-being of our people in the state by providing an avenue for individuals and families to bond and socialize together in a fun-filled environment. Also, entertainment and side attractions will include live music, games, dancing competition, rides, food stalls and lots more,” he added.
“In the light of the above, the general public are hereby humbly invited to this remarkable and historic event which is slated to come up on Tuesday, 27 December, 2022 at the Kwara State Amusement Park, Ilorin by 10:00am. Ultimately, it is obtainable that the gathering will offer positive stimulus to every individual and family as provision will be made for creative attractions that will help create unforgettable memories for all and sundry.”
